Established 2021

History

The theater company was founded in the summer of 2021.

Frederick Ponzlov, Kathleen Welker,Tim Wilkins, Linda Ferro and .

Zoë Yeoman were the founding Board of Directors. 

Frederick and Kathleen served as

Co-Artistic Directors for the organization.

Mission

Actors Studio 66 will strive to provide a wide spectrum of diverse and inclusive theatre experiences to the greater Albuquerque area with emphasis upon support and outreach to underserved communities. As a civic and community-oriented theatre arts organization, our aim is to offer job creation, training and educational opportunities within theater performance and production.

 

Vision

- Produce quality, socially relevant entertainment for the 

  community
- Provide an environment for artists and technicians to learn,

  develop and advance their skill sets
- Provide educational opportunities

- Encourage the development and production of new and

  lesser-known works

Partnership

In August 2021, Renato Estacio-Burdick, President and Artistic Director of the NM Black Cat Cultural Enterprises, a new LGBTQIA community and cultural center, announced a partnership between Actors Studio 66 and the Cultural Center.
